Following is a note and a video from Pastor Tim on March 14, 2020
Dear North Point Family,
We are so sorry for the short notice, but we were really looking forward to having our services as normal this weekend. However, out of our love for you and our respect for our local, state and federal officials, we are moving forward with cancelling our services for the immediate future. Both the Illinois and Wisconsin governors have suggested doing this until May 1, but we will keep you informed as we go. Here’s how we will proceed:
- The tech team and I will be filming the sermon in advance and posting it online by Sunday morning, so you and your family can watch it in the comfort of your home. You can view it either on our Facebook page or at northpointchurch.org.
- Please feel free to also share in communion with your family at home, and/or with your Life Group.
- If possible, plan on continuing to meet with your Life Group weekly. And of course, be just as hygiene-conscience in those small gatherings as you would be in a larger one.
- And lastly, if you are not currently signed up for online giving, now would be a great time to do that at NPCgive.org. You can make a one-time donation there, or set yourself up for a recurring offering for each week or month.
This is the first time in the history of North Point Church that we have cancelled our Sunday services, and we will really miss seeing you all, but know that God is in control and on His throne, and we will continue to worship and praise Him wherever we are and whatever the circumstances happen to be!
We love you and thank you for your understanding in these very interesting times!
